How long does it take?
 
 
Typically AAS degree programs take up to 2 years.  At TIPS, your AAS degree is only 2 semesters away! TIPS innovative program focuses on courses most necessary to become a pharmacy technician and to take the national Pharmacy Technician Certificate Board exam (PTCB).  
 
TIPS curriculum includes the following 50 credit hours of coursework and 20 additional contact hours of PTCB Examination preparation.
 
  1. FIRST SEMESTER
  2. COM 100 - Communications
  3. ANT 100 - Anatomy and Physiology
  4. PHA 100 - Pharmacology I
  5. PHP 100 - Pharmacy Practice I
  6.  
  7. SECOND SEMESTER
  8. ELP  100 - Ethical and Legal Issues in Pharmacy
  9. MAT 100 - Mathematics for Pharmacy
  10. PHA 110 - Pharmacology II
  11. PHP 110 - Pharmacy Practice II
  12. Pharmacy Technician Certification Review (Prior to PCTB Exam)
